Flexspeak Studio is where you build visual supports for communication, routines, and classroom activities. You can design boards and schedules, generate content with AI, play them with speech, share a link, or export a PDF to print.
This guide is the starting point. Use the related articles for step-by-step help on each part of Studio.
Overview
- Create a visual — Pick a template (grids, schedules, stories, activities, GoTalk overlays, and more) or start from AI.
- Edit with confidence — Changes save automatically. Use undo/redo, page defaults, languages, and the tile toolbar.
- Quick Add & AI creation — Fill a board from a topic, lesson, or uploaded file—or generate a whole set of supports at once.
- Play — Use the visual full screen with text-to-speech.
- Export & share — Download a PDF/PNG, invite collaborators, or share a Play link.
- Projects — Organize visuals in folders and add lesson context for better AI suggestions.
Getting started
Open Studio
- Sign in at app.flexspeak.com.
- Open Studio from the side navigation.
- You’ll land on My visuals, where your created and shared visuals live.
Create your first visual
- Click Create visual.
- Browse All templates, or filter by Communication, Routines, or Activities.
- Select a template to open the editor.
- Or choose Get started on the AI banner to turn a lesson or activity into supports.

Edit, play, export
- Add words and images on the board (manually or with Quick Add).
- Watch for All changes saved in the header—Studio autosaves.
- Click Play to try the visual with speech.
- Click Export for a printable PDF, or Share to invite people or copy a link.

Tips
- Empty tiles export as blank spaces—clear or fill them before you print.
- Shared Play links are great for classrooms and home practice without opening the full editor.
- Use Projects when you reuse the same lesson files across many visuals.
